Hill Dickinson is an award-winning, full service international law firm with big clients, great people and fantastic opportunities. What we do

We are a full service firm, so we cover all areas of law and work across a number of sectors, including: insurance, retail, aviation, sport media, health and marine.

What we’re looking for

You will need at least a 2:1 and ABB or equivalent. We want trainees who show a commitment to learning and who will continue to learn throughout their careers. We want trainees with the insight and awareness to understand our clients’ demands and what is expected of us as an international law firm, so we want to hear about your business background. You will need to have experiences that demonstrate your passion for a career in law and the motivation you’ve got to get there.

What you’ll do

We recruit to retain, so for 2017, we’re taking on up to 14 trainees which means we’ll have the resources and time to give you as much support as you need. Because of our small intake, there’s lots of interesting work to go around and you will be given challenges from the start. You will do four seats and will be able to select preferences from a variety of different areas of law. You will have a mentor on hand throughout your time with us to offer advice, guidance and support. Before you officially start your training contract, you will spend a number of days in our offices learning about our business, as part of our LPC+ scheme. Our trainees work really hard and as you’d expect, it’s not all fun and games. But when they do let their hair down, they get together and do it properly! You’re welcome to get involved in the firm’s sports and CSR teams, too.
