Halliwell Homes is currently seeking Trainee Therapeutic Parents to join us in Greater Manchester, Cheshire & Lancashire.

We are a social enterprise that offers a clinically informed practice encompassing educational, fostering and residential care services. Our objective is to enhance the psychological wellbeing of young people within the care system through our restorative parenting recovery programme. We are the UK’s leading practitioner of the Pillars of Parenting: Authentic Warmth model of professional childcare.

To further expand and develop our psychological model of care, Halliwell are looking to recruit Trainee Therapeutic Parents to join our practice team working in our residential homes.

We are looking for graduate candidates with a relevant degree such as psychology and preferably with childcare experience who are prepared to study towards a post-graduate qualification through the Halliwell training and development programme.

As our Trainee Therapeutic Parents you need to be passionate about delivering real psychological recovery for children within the looked after system.

Earn £8.06 per hour talking to people

Full training given, with several optional in-house courses to choose from if you wanted to develop your skills and career. FREE optional activity and adventure days.

 

Choose “start of week” or “end of week”

Choose Mon and Tue or Thu and Fri every week (9am to 1.30pm). On alternate weeks you will also work Wed (9am to 1.30pm) and Sat and Sun (8am to 12.30pm). Average 15 hours 45 mins per week.

 

You’ll need the following skills…

You will need to be friendly, super-reliable, talkative, able to speak and write excellent English and able to accurately type up notes from calls. Confidence using a computer, keyboard and mouse is essential.
